- Nose
- Rich, sweet. A creamy wall from which a massive and thick smoke emerges, soothing back to dessert-like notes. Toffee, chocolate.
- Palate
- Again, peat is hidden behind sweetness coming from the quarter cask. Very bourbony. Cold ashes in the back.
- Finish
- Dry, spicy, sooty.
- Comment
- Smokiness takes time to rise up. No medicinal contribution from the peat. Keeps on smoke.

- Nose
- Vanilla ice cream, then thrusting peat with deep tarry phenolic character. Dry, medicinal, singed notes. A crisp cereal character: burnt toast, roasted tea, smoked oats.
- Palate
- Cereal sweetness, a bang of medicinal peat which clamps to the tongue. Chewy with peat all the way, vying with sweet vanilla-heavy oak.
- Finish
- Smoky and peppery.
- Comment
- The deepest peatiness of all the young ones.

Welcome to Whisky Magazine
I have been reading this great book recently about hunting down the true empty, wild places in the United Kingdom.
