- The morning toast overdone, and burned at the edges, but still appetising.

- Onion marmalade.
- Comment
- That wasn't breakfast toast after all. It was melba toast, with a game pate. Or better still, a mousseline.

- Germoline, hot bitumen (two-lane blacktop), smoked meat. With water the smoke becomes more subtle and a creamy maltiness appears.
- Palate
- Soft and pretty sweet, ripe pear, malt and understated smokiness. Good balance.
- Finish
- Smoky, medium length.
- Comment
- A cheeky wee monkey. Lively.
