- Nose
- Freshly varnished oak and new make. Becomes alarmingly agricultural.
- Palate
- Dry, oaky, bitter, wheatgerm.
- Finish
- Hard.
- Comment
- The whisky's (just) at the additive rather than interactive stage and while
it will (hopefully) settle down (though that farmyard note is a little worrying)
there's really no point in bottling something at this stage.

- Nose
- Malty. Generous. Brown bread. A hint of dried fruit. Sultanas. Saw dust. Getting sweeter on time. With some baking aromas. Bread and butter pudding.
Toasted buns.
- Palate
- Smooth and then crisp. A mix of malty and fruity flavours. A fungal touch.
- Finish
- Dry, spicy. With a leafy note.
- Comment
- A very enticing and appetising nose which appeals to an autumnal
warming up indoor moment. The palate is more restrained. Water does
not enhance it.
