Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet Nose Luscious, complex, floral. Narcissus. Crème brûlée, candied orange. Delicate spiciness. Touch of aniseed. Palate Oily, mouth-coating. Perfect balance. Sweet and subtle. Waves of fruit. Pear, apples, quince jelly. Toasted and caramelised almonds. Finish Warm, long-lasting, liquorice. Comment Satisfies nose and palate equally. To be opened and enjoyed at Christmas.

Dave Broom Nose Beautifully perfumed: green apple, blossom, freshly mown grass. Water adds lime leaf/lemon zest. Delicate, but juicily, mouth-wateringly complex. Palate Rounded yet delicate. Apples again, tingly spiciness. Fills and perfumes the mouth. Delicious. Finish Soft. Apple once more. Comment A classic example of a relatively light and fragrant whisky that has real complexity and a gorgeous feel. The perfect summertime dram.
