Nose
Pencil erasers, a faint peat, tropical fruit, and a little chalkiness. A slightly vegetal note crept in, almost cabbagey. Palate
A pleasing rounded maltiness, followed by a crisp mineral-like character. Finish
Slightly sicky. Comment
Marked down for that cabbagey character – right back to school dinners.
Dave Broom
Nose
Fat and buttery to start, then a weird vegetal note emerges alongside something akin to a flat sports drink (Lucozade/Pokari Sweat?) then sulphur, heavily chlorinated swimming pools, cheese and sour baby vomit (ie butyric). Mmmm!! Palate
Oily and a little rubbery coconut. Finish
Sadly long. Comment
The oak trying to cover a very poor spirit.
