Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet

Nose
Fragrant. Leafy and grassy with meadow flower scents. Mash-tun atmosphere.
Palate
Aniseed. Rich maltiness reminiscent of hayloft. Nutty and creamy.
Finish
Quiet and soothing with an appetising liquoriced profile.
Comment
A satisfying, nourishing, clean malt. But where is the bay?

Dave Broom

Nose
Very pretty, lifted nose all apple blossom, icing sugar, light honey and reminiscent of those crystallised fruits filled with fruit syrup.
Palate
Light, (as you’d expect) maybe just a little too light. Some lemon/icing sugar mid-palate but it doesn’t quite carry to the finish.
Finish
Short. Fades quickly.
Comment
Drink neat.
