Nose
Lemon curd in a wooden tub. Some cooked notes. Smoky. Palate
Slippery-smooth. Astonishingly sugary. A real sugar-rush. Then buttery. Like eating breakfast pancakes with fruit. Finish
Hot, fruity. Himbergeist. Comment
Lochside was a capricious malt, but it is missed nonetheless.
Dave Broom
Nose
Fresh with light fruits, preserved lemon, green grapes. Water tames it a little but those high-toned fruity/floral aromas dominate. Palate
Incredibly sweet to start and also slightly fizzy. It’s a lemon sherbet dab! Water doesn’t manage to kill this zippiness though there is a slight woody edge. Finish
Toasty and a little tannic. Comment
Vibrant, sure wakes you up.
