Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Citrus zest. Coconut. Salt. Palate Plenty of flavour development. Starts with coconut ice intense sweetness, moving to marshmallow-like maltiness, and then an astonishingly sudden rush of lemon juice. Finish Passion fruit. Hard and strong. Comment Jumps and bites. This is the young Springbank, not yet the mature sophisticate.

Dave Broom Nose Starts creamy/buttery, then sooty smoke and hints of oily weight. Water teases out a marine/medicinal note and malty core. Gains power as it develops but is subtle and complex, not overpowering. Palate A firm structure with briny character on show. Great rich, quite oily feel. Mouthfilling and complex. Finish Decent length. Comment A lovely young Springbank with all the distillery’s classic attributes.
