Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet

Nose
Fragrant. Clover, honey. Buttery and fruity. A touch of pepper and saddle leather, then vanilla.
Palate
Sweet, then a burst of spices. Ginger, oak, nutmeg. Fizzy mouthfeel. A distant smoky note.
Finish
Long, warm and dry.
Comment
Maybe not as balanced as the classic 15 year-old. But who would turn one's nose up to a Longmorn? So rare, so satisfying. Yummy.

Dave Broom

Nose
Rich, rounded and fruity: stone fruits, dried apricot, sponge cake, sultana, coconut, privet blossom. In time a firmer note. Honey.
Palate
Gentle start. Great width and mouthfeel. Complex, hints of dried fruit, firm mature oak notes.
Finish
Zesty, complex.
Comment
The Longmorn bandwagon rolls on. Good to see Chivas coming to its senses-but we want more!
