75
- Nose
- Hugely powerful. Linseed. Leather.
- Palate
- Big. Grassy. Sweet lemons.
- Finish
- Syrupy. Anis. Medicinal. Hot.
- Comment
- Very pungent and powerful for a Lowlander. Tending toward harshness. This seems typical of these last Linlithgows.
75
- Nose
- Intense: grassy/sappy with greengage, hazelnut and sesame oil/olive oil? It has good weight though.
- Palate
- Full, spicy, slightly smoky palate. It's a whisky you feel as much as taste or nose.
- Finish
- Clover and nut.
- Comment
- Lovely weight and carries its age well (though dies a bit quickly in the glass).
