Nose
Another subtle entrant. Scented with light pine and wild berries. A juniper like note, this time mixed with spelt flour and lemon.
Palate
Very clean and clear with white berry fruits and a little hint of spice. Excellent refreshing acidity moving into pear juice. With water it remains cool, restrained but with excellent balance.
Finish
Cool and clean.
Comment
This shows how well Mackmyra has developed. No need to hope, the point has been proved.

Light and grassy. Aniseed biscuits. A touch of lemon. Crushed fresh hazelnuts. Very fresh.
Palate
Sweet and nicely flowing. Good clean maltiness. Good balance. Getting spicy.
Finish
Slightly astringent.
Comment
A refreshing and clean whisky. Ideal to pair with seafood or shellfish: scallops, sushi or langoustines.
