Tasting Notes

Arthur Motley Nose A pencil case: wood shavings, lead and crayons. Some orange and biscuity character. With water an intriguing aromatic herbal note – perhaps kaffir lime leaves? Palate Mouthfilling, fruity, and a little rubbery. Finish Lightly bitter and drying. Comment A pleasing balance of spirit and wood, but lacked complexity. Young spirit in active oak?

Dave Broom Nose Round and crisp. Toasty oak, wood shavings, sacking, raffia. Slightly oily and is that a hint of smoke? Baked apple/pie crust, then green pear (immaturity). Palate Slightly thin and a bit flabby. Fern, then cream. Finish Zesty. Comment This just doesn't have the guts to deliver. A wee, coo’rin, timrous beastie.
