- Nose
- Orange-flavoured boiled sweets. Citric but dry.
- Palate
- Orangey, resiny, but somehow constrained. Attenuated. Cork-like woodiness.
- Finish
- Musty. Quick.
- Comment
- Tamdhu is a pleasant, polite, whisky. Does it really have the stamina for such a marathon maturation?

- Nose
- Lightly perfumed: fondant icing, sweet cereal, apricot jam, clove, almost like a light gold rum. Drier and grassier with water.
- Palate
- Silky. Nut and vanilla. Dries nicely in the middle. Flowers and spiciness on the back palate.
- Finish
- Soft and malty.
- Comment
- Just enough oak for structure. A real surprise for a distillery which can often be pretty bland.
