Michael Jackson

Nose
Oily. Lemon grass. Sweet lemons.
Palate
Fruity. Lemon curd. Marshmallows. Pastry. Icing sugar.
Finish
Spiciness and biscuity maltiness provide a balance.
Comment
I liked the lively 8 Years Old version. Would I be tempted away by something smoother, more mature? I would think about it...maybe.

Dave Broom

Nose
Quite rich and sherried. Cake mix, dried fruits, tobacco, date and syrup you get in tins of fruit. Light milky note.
Palate
Big and robust with good malty attack. Fine, sweet mid-palate, but a little bitter on the sides.
Finish
Burnt orange, bitter.
Comment
A boisterous, roistering, very quaffable malt.
