- Oily. Lemon grass. Sweet lemons.
- Palate
- Fruity. Lemon curd. Marshmallows. Pastry. Icing sugar.
- Finish
- Spiciness and biscuity maltiness provide a balance.
- Comment
- I liked the lively 8 Years Old version. Would I be tempted away by something smoother, more mature? I would think about it...maybe.

- Quite rich and sherried. Cake mix, dried fruits, tobacco, date and syrup you get in tins of fruit. Light milky note.
- Palate
- Big and robust with good malty attack. Fine, sweet mid-palate, but a little bitter on the sides.

- Burnt orange, bitter.
- Comment
- A boisterous, roistering, very quaffable malt.
