- Nose
- Slightly smoky. Toasty. Maple syrup.
- Palate
- Creamy. Nutty. flapjack. Dryish. Clean. Smooth.
- Finish
- Slightly fruity, winey (Muscat). Some acidity.
- Comment
- This famously smooth whisky seems slightly less sweet than I remember, especially in the nose and finish. Better balanced, but perhaps fractionally less distinctive.

- Nose
- Elegant, harmonious and soft. Runny honey, cherry, peach/apricot, butter icing/cream and fresh wild herbs.
- Palate
- Ripe, soft, creamy and fruit-filled: cherries and peaches in honey syrup with dusting of nutmeg and cinnamon.
- Finish
- Soft then crisps up.
- Comment
- Chewy and mellow. Great balance and elegance. Still a classic.
