- Nose
- Intense and prickly. Malty. Cereal bowl with honey and dried fruit. Raisins.
Dried apricot. Opens on creamy toffee notes. Hint of polished oak floor. In
time, mint chocolate.
- Palate
- Smooth at start then abruptly drying on hot spices. Giving a fizzy feel on the
tongue. Oak gets grippy.
- Finish
- Warm, dry, oaky.
- Comment
- The nose lets you expect more sweetness. Oak is overwhelming on
the palate.

- Nose
- Fresh sawn wood, old leather gloves, hints of chocolate, soft red fruits.
eventually a coffee note develops.
- Palate
- Another spiced firework laced with chocolate and those toffee notes.
There is some soft fruit here too. Hints of tobacco.
- Finish
- Warming.
- Comment
- Shows great balance. Not the usual Diageo distillery release. Nice to see
the lesser known get an airing.
