- Nose
- Intense. Deep and complex. First, an intricate array of autumnal aromas. Bracken, wet earth, touch of moss.
- Palate
- Crisp, tight, sharp. With a rough texture like sanding paper. Sooty, very dry. The same aromatic mix as on the nose. Soothing on soft spices.
- Finish
- Dry. Soot also more sweetness.
- Comment
- The perfect image of the countryside in autumn on a wet chilly morning, with a mixture of fog and smoke hovering over the fields and the woods. Very suggestive.

- Nose
- A big intense slow burning experience. Bonfires in the distance, but also like a fire in a wet forest.
- Palate
- Sweet burnt sugar with coal tar running through it. A butter and ash combination.
- Finish
- Sweetness then smoke.
- Comment
- This needs to be savoured outside or next to the fire.
