Nose
Shows its age - very positive whisky rancio. The initial character suggests cherry-based cough medicine. Deep and complex, with beeswax polish, sandalwood and an exotic scented quality. Excellent.
Palate
Big and soft to start. There's the cherry note (here dried), some rhubarb, Cola cubes, and light tannins but its slightly too muted.
Finish
Drying tannins. Mixed peels
Comment
Lovely nose but not fully backed up on the tongue. In cask just too long.

Nose
Rich, deep. Elegant and harmonious. Oak and dried fruit are beautifully intertwined. An earthy note. Moss, fern with a fungal touch. Rancio on its way. Dried apricot, sultanas. Complex. Gets biscuity on time.
Palate
Surprisingly crisp and alert for its age. Oak prevails but in a sophisticated expression. The sherry shines through.
Finish
Dry, fading away rapidly though.
Comment
A wonderful nose while the palate delivers less but keeps elegant.
