Nose
Perfumy, grassy. Sweet aniseed, vanilla. Drying hay. A farm yard note. Butterscotch. Faint smoke. Liquorice.
Palate
Sweet and gently flowing. Then becoming fizzy and crisp. Quite dry as well. Water brings out oiliness and enhances the spiciness with an earthy touch.
Finish
Long, with a salty feel. Soothing with a toffee note.
Comment
A buoyant character. Perfect to get you back on your feet on a crispy morning.

Nose
Sweet, melting sugar caramel notes, distant wood smoke, leaf mulch, fresh cut barley, Pontefract cakes.
Palate
There is an oily viscous quality here, olive oil, spices emerge, cardamom, a little fennel. All wrapped in an earthy element.
Finish
Sea salt caramel.
Comment
A great restorative dram, the finish is lovely.
