- Nose
- There seems to be a fresh grainy note in here. Lightly floral and honeyed with a sappy edge and a hint of smoke in the background. Dry pastry.
- Palate
- Light smoke then flour sacks, before creamy toffee develops in the centre.
- Finish
- Lifts into citrus.
- Comment
- A good mixing blend, though this too fades a little.

- Nose
- Oaky. Sap with a musty note. Damp wood. A hint of butterscotch. Autumn fragrances. Ripe medlar.
- Palate
- Round, mellow. A bit watery at mid-palate. Velvety feel. A refreshing liquorice character.
- Finish
- Smooth, sweet with a bitter tinge. A gingery hint.
- Comment
- A clean dram. Wood is well integrated. A higher strength would have given it a little more nerve.
