- Cedary. Faint hint of peat.
- Palate
- Orange essence, then anise.
- Finish
- Toasted oak. Slightly sappy. Warming. Rather astringent.
- Comment
- More complex than the younger vintage.

- Nose
- Mossy and nutty (pecan) with soft fruits and some smoke. Slightly hard with water: tea leaves, wholemeal toast, a spicy tobacco note. A clean, quite light spirit.
- Palate
- Spicy and sweetly concentrated: pecan pie, ripe fruits.
- Finish
- Hint of smoke.
- Comment
- Good weight, wood is beginning to show.
