Nose
Relaxed and spicy with a lovely layered effect. Cedar, strawberry, dusty currant leaf, pollen. Water enhances the clean aromatic effect: fresh-cut green grass, unripe peach, apple and light oak.
Palate
Very pure and honey-sweet. Lightly oily with apple, apricot and blackcurrant, then a step-change to intense spices and olive.
Finish
Balanced and long. Some oak. Blackberry.
Comment
As quiet, complex and elegant as the man himself.

Nose
Citrussy. Lemon posset. Fudge. Creamy. Tiramisu (but without the alcohol). Fresh varnish. Ripe banana.
Palate
Sweet and fruity. An incredible taste of pear eau-de-vie. William pear.
Finish
Medium. Ends abruptly. Aftertaste on the skin of the pear.
Comment
Again, nose and palate are very different. But the rich fruity profile, though unlike on nose and palate, is elegant and satisfying.
