Nose
Flowery, herbal. Palate
Very light. Fresh. Finish
Hint of liquorice-like sherry. Comment
Perfectly pleasant but very light in flavours.
Jim Murray
Nose
Unusually sherried for a Cooley blend; sweet blackcurrant jelly fruit. Pretty decent malt involvement, grapey and firm grain. Impressive. Palate
Immensely rich, fruity and chewy by Cooley standards. Fine malt sweetness balances oaky dryness. Finish
An oaky buzz sits well with the sweeter remnants of the fruit and malt. Slightly roasted. Comment
Wonderfully balanced and quite chewy. Has shifted its shape a little: the spice now starts earlier and fizzles out before the finish.
