- Nose
- A hint of peat, and a robust suggestion of fresh oak.
- Palate
- Textured. Chewy blend of marzipan, jam and icing sugar. Like drinking a Bakewell tart.
- Finish
- Almondy dryness. Satisfying.
- Comment
- A good example of this distinctive and under-rated malt.

- Nose
- Intense, high-toned and tight. Floral with honeysuckle, vanilla, wood.
- Palate
- Complex mix of malt, ginger and nut. Fairly grippy though it broadens in middle.
- Finish
- Toasty, short.
- Comment
- Strathisla is always charming but can be a touch frosty. This is one of those.
