Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Rich. Powerful, Freshly cut oak. Palate Oaky. Sherryish (notice the full, reddish amber colour) Cakey. Marzipan. Finish Long. Rooty. Slightly peaty. Comment Big and complex. Slightly drying but avoids excessive woodiness.

Jim Murray Nose Bourbony and rich; over-ripe cherries and wet tobacco. Palate Big and fruity and then a surge of oak. Finish Wonderfully spicy and mouth filling. Comment A whisky of antiquity that has survived many years. Quite excellent.
