- Savoury,floral,with touches of blueberry and cranberry.
- Palate
- Not like the nose:full,bold,oily and with a savoury mushroom note under the barley.
- Finish
- Long,full and earthy.
- Comment
- A growling bear among a bunch of deer-like whiskies.This is a good thing. The mushroomy noteis one I associate with new Japanese whiskies.

- Quite assertive; heady and sweet with toffee,honey,crème brulée and pumpkin; also violet and lavender. A salty tang that turns solventy, even metallic.
- Palate
- Velvety smooth and sweet but big and spicy with lots of heat and a bitter twist.
- Finish
- Liquorice,nutmeg.
- Comment
- Tasty and substantial.
