- Nose
- Oily and rich and - in typical Japanese style - intense. Higher strength as well. Light smoke and hinoki wood/cedar.
- Palate
- Rounded and typically scented with a distinct salty edge and big rich fruit that drifts towards raspberry jam. Supple. Water allows riper fruits to come through and eases the tension and the oils then flow.
- Finish
- Touch of scented oak.
- Comment
- Richness and power.

- Nose
- Takes a little while to open but then reveals sherry and a big smack of orange zest. There is something cedar box lurking as well.
- Palate
- The palate continues the sweet citrus theme, with a hint of walnuts, salted almonds and honeyed apples.
- Finish
- Lush and rich.
- Comment
- Great package and great liquid.
