Nose
Toasty warm with chocolate, honey and a clean, crisp maltiness. Though fresh, scented and aromatic, water brings out crystallised ginger
Palate
Very sweet, smooth and balanced. All the notes on the nose plus preserved lemon and a lightly concentrated, curranty mid-palate with a slick of runny toffee.
Finish
There's a pause and then you get a complete rerun of the experience.
Comment
Good presence and a sumptuous palate.

Nose
An almost but not quite sort of a nose, with Jaffa cake jelly fruit in the credit box, and something doughy slightly resinous and broody on the downside.
Palate
The orange theme is there, a touch of grapefruit before a wave of savoury pepper, and a hot and sour note.
Finish
The spiciest part of the whole shebang with a not altogether pleasant and lingering after-taste.
Comment
Gets there in the end but you have to work for it.
