Nose
Citrussy, very aromatic. A distant dry smokiness swirling up. A mineral touch (wet pebble). Then a fruity whiff of ripe peaches and pears. All is wrapped in a delicate honeyed veil. Palate
Rich, silky, enticing. Oily, getting drier on the tongue as spices burst out. Some green gage flavours mingling with spices. Finish
Lemony, drying on ginger. Comment
A charming nose with a less delicate palate but all together a refreshing dram.
Dave Broom
Nose
Very sweet start with light smoke. Clover honey and woodsmoke. With water becomes dramatically drier and then a rubbery note. Palate
Very sweet when neat then the smoke charges onto your tongue. The diluted palate is better than the nose to start. Finish
Phenolic. Comment
If you are going to drink it do it neat.
