- Nose
- Creamy and rounded if quite simple nose. Water brings out elderflower sweetness, but also a note akin to balloons.
- Palate
- Sweeter than the nose with cereal, oak, rubber and a confected sweetness. Thin and quite hot. Not quite knitted together.
- Finish
- Short, syrup, crisp oak.
- Comment
- The sweetness fails to mask a whisky that hasn't matured. All rather flat and plain.

- Nose
- Bran, cereal husk, pear drops and daffodils. Freeze-dried raspberries and peach slices.
- Palate
- Oily texture which dries out and becomes astringent. Baked pears then dried flowers.
- Finish
- Dry and biscuity.
- Comment
- OK, but given that there are so many wonderful whiskies around, this gets lost.
