Nose
Touch of freshly varnished wood. Dried cherry, cumin seed and some hickory with underlying sweetness. It becomes jammy and almost damson like, but always a deep scented oak. Water brings out caraway seed. Palate
The perfumed note carries on. Lemon balm and zesty spiciness. Quite high tannins. Cigar smoke and drywood. Water lightens and smoothes. Finish
Hints of bitter cherry stone. Comment
Assertive but balanced.
Dominic Roskrow
Nose
Beeswax polish;tinned peach, spice. Palate
Classic sweet candy then swings left with a hit of oak and rye. Finish
Sharp but nice sugar and spice balance and a dash of anisette for good measure. Comment
Classic old fashioned style bourbon and nothing wrong with that.
