Nose
Acetone, a hint of glue, bubblegum. Is your name Ester by any chance? Very grassy. After the volatiles fly off you’re left with (cloudy) apple juice, marzipan, gooseberry jam and light oak. Palate
Good layering of fruits. You can almost feel the velvet skin of the apricot as it slides over the tongue. Creamy. Finish
Soft with a slight tart note. Comment
Another whose palate runs counter to its nose.
Arthur Motley
Nose
Gala melon, struck flint and warm bread. Watermelon and pear drops. Borders on that over-chemically esters board-marker note. Palate
Fruity (melons and pears), fruit salad chews, then bone dry. Finish
Bourbon-like woodiness, and more dryness. Comment
Some delightful fruity elements but ultimately dominated by woodiness. Don’t attempt if you don’t like dry whisky!
