78- Nose
- Warm. Cow's breath and sweet hay with a hint of scented smoke, lemon. Mature. Becomes fresher and greener in time, hedge clippings.
- Palate
- Clean, leafy with an acidic energy. Good orchard fruits in, then hazelnut and light smoke. Good balance.
- Finish
- Tight and slightly smoked.
- Comment
- Has maturity and presence. Ardmore: a complete package.

75- Nose
- An unwelcome note of damp wood at start which gives way to wet straw then citrus fruit (orange pulp). Takes times to open up. Grated coconut.
- Palate
- Smooth at start then getting drier and slightly sour. Grippy oak, Touch of leather.
- Finish
- Dry, spicy (paprika).
- Comment
- Oak is prevailing, especially on the palate. Lacks balance and charm.
