Tasting Notes

Dave Broom

Nose
Slightly muted with light cereal, trail mix, energy bar and dried cherry. Rounded and moving into maturity. Shows complexity.
Palate
A gentle, subtle smoked paprika flavour along with jammy fruit, then musky shiitake funkiness.
Finish
Touch of pine with a little bitterness.
Comment
A big warming dram whose generosity of flavour comes as a relief after a couple of meanies.

Arthur Motley

Nose
Cherry liqueur, hay, grappa, and some sour fruitiness. A smoking gun barrel. Some floral mossiness and a little damp peat.
Palate
Stewed fruits and raisins, and more of that moss.
Finish
A gentle bitterness.
Comment
Elements of many of the flavour groups creates a balanced, Highland-style malt.
