- Nose
- Buttery with a butyric/lactic edge. Floral (honeysuckle?) Sour fruit. Gooseberry. Sour yoghurt.
- Palate
- Oaky, far too oaky. A cardboardy tinge as well. Not very exciting.
- Finish
- Dry, with a bitter grip.
- Comment
- Unrefined wood spoils the aromatic display. It does not leave a clean feel. A rather grumpy character.

- Nose
- Hay. A distinct cereal note, old cereal bags, hint of grappa-like twigginess, fennel. Thin.
- Palate
- Starts very soft and quiet (lemon barley water) then lashes out, snarling. Lemon juice and heat. Would give zest and energy to a blend, but lacks finesse and quality when on its own.
- Finish
- Hard cereal.
- Comment
- A volatile, pale-faced wee dram that suddenly turns on you.
