Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet Nose Intense. Woody. Tickly. Rhubarb pie. Corn syrup. Exotic fruit. Pineapple juice. Hint of mango. Wood gradually withdrawing, letting fruit in. Palate Velvety but crisp. Oaky grip. A wave of liquorice (aniseed flavours and bitter root). Wild chervil. Spicy (Tabasco, hint of caraway). Finish Everlasting and spicy. Liquorice. Comment A big guy. On a frosty Christmas Eve maybe, waiting for Santa Claus by the fireplace. No risk of falling asleep with this fellow!

Dave Broom Nose Mature. Inside of an old wardrobe. Leather. Date, chocolate, coffee, black cherry, cigar. Good caramelisation and a tingle of sweet spices. Palate As nose suggests, in the bigger camp. Rich and precise. Bitter chocolate into raisin. Great balance. Finish Long powerful. Comment An elegant old gentleman. Great balance. Highly recommended.
