90- Nose
- Sweet, medicinal, buttery and floral. Damp tweed and ginger. Sootier with time.
- Palate
- Soft, gently spiced, with summer fruits and digestive biscuits. Mildly medicinal as well.
- Finish
- Very long and warming, with hazelnuts and drifting peat smoke.
- Comment
- Another shining example of shrewd cask selection.

89- Nose
- Bandages and mild TCP, but there is an underlying sweetness as well. Buttercups and hints of Parkin cake.
- Palate
- That Parkin cake note comes through, dark treacle and spices. A little melon and Parma ham. Peat edge too.
- Finish
- Long and satisfying.
- Comment
- Almost perfection, should be tasted outdoors.
