- Nose
- Party balloons. Lemon jelly and custard.
- Palate
- Dolly mixtures. Children's party, but now the adults have arrived. The sweetness now is brown sugar, in Earl Grey tea.
- Finish
- Port. Thinly sliced Stilton. Saltines.
- Comment
- A hint of sulphur in the nose had me dismissing this whisky. It seemed young, immature, callow – but we finishing up flirting.

- Nose
- Mature and sweet with a little touch of oak. Coconut, beeswax, honey, apple skin.
- Palate
- Slow moving and expansive. Mature notes again, powdered nut, custard cream. Becomes more oaky, but balanced by silky fruits. and a growing flavour of almond. In time a hint of heathery smoke.
- Finish
- Long. Hardens slightly.
- Comment
- Complex. This has a layered effect which elevates it above most of the rest.
