Nose
Very sweet. Citrus. Passion fruit. Winey. Palate
Butterscotch. Peaches. Brambles. Finish
Still fruity and sweetish, with some balancing spicy dryness. Comment
The wine seems to have made common cause with the juicy sweetness, and the two have overwhelmed the cereal-grain and peat smoke that usually make this a more robust malt. This version would be a good dessert though.
Jim Murray
Nose
Quite heady; bittersweet Turkish delight. Firm with clean oak. Exceptional. Palate
Maintains the bittersweet style suggested by the nose with chewy maltiness replaced by lazy spice. Finish
A rare dryness that fits in with the deft oak. The spice continues to buzz. Comment
A superb offering. Just wish G and M would be braver and go with a 43 or 46 rather than the standard 40.
