Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Apples? Apple skins perhaps. Palate Tannin. Apple. Toffee. Vanilla. Sulphur. Finish Whisky wins convincingly against the Calvados, but it's still a very interesting struggle. Comment The Calvados character is almost overwhelming but Caol Ila comes surging through in the finish.

Jim Murray Nose Sharp burst of flighty peat, etheric apple based fruitness. Palate Lively and fresh. Finish Thin despite a hint of spice and surprisingly short for a Caol Ila. Comment A highly unusual Caol Ila mysteriously lacking in complexity.
