Junipery, but less robustly peaty.
Palate
Much sweeter. Creamy, Oily.
Finish
Juniper and sea-salt in a savoury struggle against gingerbread and quince.
Comment
All the action is in that finish. A clear points victory for the whisky, with brandy going the distance.

Nose
Bolder peat. Sweet enticing.
Palate
Sweet and chewy malt and then an eruption of peat and spice.
Finish
Long and lingering, a simplistic, entirely uncluttered infusion of malt and peat.
