Nose
Warm and sweet. Barley sugar, butterscotch, creamy strawberries. A hint of straw and cow’s breath. Young bracken. Touch of floor polish. Palate
Satin-like. Oily. Extreme smoothness, close to softness. In harmony with the nose but less intense. Finish
Soothing. Light spices. Almond skin. Comment
More attractive on the nose than on the palate. Water spreads it thin.
Dave Broom
Nose
Concentrated baked fruit with an exotic note. Raisin, damp chamois leather and in time pineapple and earthen warehouse floors. Slightly fungal with a burnt note. Palate
Full-bodied. Black cherry juice, overripe fruit, some crisp oak. Has an aversion to water. Finish
Dry and oaky. Fortified wine. Comment
A fragile dram. Interesting.
