Nose
Buttery with a faint butyric note. A thin veil of smoke hoovers over poached pears. Wet rush. Aeration brings a delicate fresh citrus breath. Palate
Smooth, silky, sweet at start. An earthy dryness pleasantly invades the palate while spices tingle tastebuds. Finish
Fruity, spicy, dry. Fresh almond aftertaste. Comment
That guy hides a tender heart under a reserved manner. Give it time and a dash of fresh water. Definitely an outdoor dram.
Dave Broom
Nose
Malty/Ovaltine with hazelnut, wood shavings red grapes and candied peel. Becomes hard with water. Palate
A dry slightly charred start before deepening moving through hazelnut into stewed fruit decent balance. Finish
Sudden raisin. Comment
Better weight but ultimately this is still fragile.
