- Nose
- Fruit juice, melon, banana milkshake and a tight grassiness coupled with whittled sticks, woodsmoke. Water makes it more plain with a light marine touch. Seems young.
- Palate
- Very hard and quite firm with a sweet centre lurking. Water doesn't loosen it. Immature with a slight chemical flavour.
- Finish
- Flinty, hard then starts to loosen.
- Comment
- Nothing wrong, just bottled too early.

- Nose
- Lots of vanilla sweetness, pears, smoked almonds, and wood smoke. A minerally character with creosote and ash. With time and water, more floral, pot pourri elements appear. Parma violets.
- Palate
- Again, minerally with that floral element lying above the earth and smoke.
- Finish
- Ash and parma violets.
- Comment
- Fairly typical of the distillery, and a solid, tasty example.
