Nose
Fruit juice, melon, banana milkshake and a tight grassiness coupled with whittled sticks, woodsmoke. Water makes it more plain with a light marine touch. Seems young.
Palate
Very hard and quite firm with a sweet centre lurking. Water doesn't loosen it. Immature with a slight chemical flavour.
Finish
Flinty, hard then starts to loosen.
Comment
Nothing wrong, just bottled too early.

Nose
Lots of vanilla sweetness, pears, smoked almonds, and wood smoke. A minerally character with creosote and ash. With time and water, more floral, pot pourri elements appear. Parma violets.
Palate
Again, minerally with that floral element lying above the earth and smoke.
Finish
Ash and parma violets.
Comment
Fairly typical of the distillery, and a solid, tasty example.
