- Nose
- A substantial mix of pressed hedgerow fruits, cooked nettles, scented woods and some whisky rancio.
- Palate
- Needs water to reveal some real complexity. Gentle fruity touches –
raspberry jam skimmings, ice cream, butterscotch and a pleasing
bitterness. Elegant and old.
- Finish
- Minty.
- Comment
- An exemplary old gently matured whisky.

- Nose
- Soft, rounded and fruity, with orange and mandarin.
- Palate
- A lovely full mouth feel but still gentle and exquisite. Like a fruit cordial but
with enough earthy spicy notes to give it some depth.
- Finish
- The mixed spices and fruit combine pleasantly for a medium finish.
- Comment
- This distillery has always been capable of greatness. Maybe this will kick-start a comeback under the new (ish) owners.
