Nose
Oaky. Dark wood, walnut stain. Dunnage warehouse. Prune. Dates.
Palate
Crisp, dry. As the nose let expect, oak dominates. Bittersweet. A sherry character. Lots of dried fruit. Spicy. A touch of chilli. Ginger and nutmeg.
Finish
Lingering. Spicy and oaky.
Comment
Deep and rich. The sherry has overwhelmed the distillery character. But a beautiful oaky expression. And a characterful profile.

Nose
Like walking into a dunnage warehouse, antique wardrobes. Dark fruit and a little oak spice.
Palate
Plenty of oak here. Dry, astringent notes then trail mix. Plenty of mixed spices here and creamy oak.
Finish
Long and juicy.
Comment
Just the right balance between the sherry notes and oak for me. Spot on.
