- Dry, firm, chewiness. Lots of flavour development. Sooty. Smoky. Oaky. Sappy. Orange pith and zest.
- Finish
- Surprisingly lively, spicy. Faintly medicinal.
- Comment
- A grizzled old character, but gains points for resilience.

- Full: clootie dumpling mix, chocolate, toffee then nut, coal/smoke.
- Palate
- Medium rich. The smoke clings to everything: soft cakey fruit and apple and as it dries walnut bread.
- Finish
- Smoky.

- Very well balanced.
