Nose
Sweet. Burnt. Caramelised. Palate
Brown sugar on porridge, followed by marmalade on toast. Finish
Hot and drying. Comment
For a ghost, quite aggressive.
Dave Broom
Nose
Assertive, nutty and malty with burnt stubble and rich bourbon oak. Dry but characterful. Good oakiness. Palate
Lemon, vanilla with crisp red fruits and orange. Decent feel. Fills the front of the mouth then narrows and tightens. Very direct, as the nose suggests. Finish
The memory of oak and grass. Appetising. Comment
I like its directness, there’s nothing fussy or fancy about this, just a bloody good drink.
