- Faint hint of peat. Cinnamon. Dusty liquorice.
- Palate
- Full flavours. Spicy. Liquorice root. Anis.
- Finish
- Cough sweets. Smokiness (again, just a hint).
- Comment
- Carries its age effortlessly. Approachable, clean, sweet-tempered. Unlike The Singleton version, no obvious sherry.

- Gentle, spicy and attractive. Cereal/bran, nutmeg, allspice, dried lavender, vanilla. Malty.
- Palate
- Clean and sweet with water. Still some floral notes (dried). Apple, dry grass. Has a slightly hard, woody, edge towards the finish.
- Finish
- Nutty. Long.
- Comment
- Delightful nose, palate pretty firm.
