Nose
Appetising. Bay trees. Seaweed. Palate
Fruity olive oil. Parsley. Edible seaweed. Finish
Salty. Smoky. Oaky. Extremely peppery. Comment
An expressive, arousing, version of this fine malt.
Jim Murray
Nose
A crisp, lively nose with gentle spice to the peat-reek. Salty and nutty, chunky iodine, ripe pears. Palate
Explosive stuff with heavy, chewy peat. Nothing like as complex as the nose but the vanilla does offer a calming diversion. Finish
Good age with intense vanilla lingering on a higher layer than the deeper, yet sweeter peat. Comment
This is a very big whisky which has with stood the test of time. Top rate and memorable.
