- Nose

- Comment
- An expressive, arousing, version of this fine malt.

- Nose
- A crisp, lively nose with gentle spice to the peat-reek. Salty and nutty, chunky iodine, ripe pears.
- Palate
- Explosive stuff with heavy, chewy peat. Nothing like as complex as the nose but the vanilla does offer a calming diversion.
- Finish
- Good age with intense vanilla lingering on a higher layer than the deeper, yet sweeter peat.
- Comment
- This is a very big whisky which has withstood the test of time. Top rate and memorable.
